Joint pain
She suffers from joint pain for the past 1 month. She was taken up with RA factor test which is 10percent higher than normal but her ANA is negative.Her diabetes is also under control.She was prescribed with metrol and ultra net.Is there a possibility for rheumatic fever?

She needs a proper, examination, diagnosis and treatment.. Consult a physiotherapist.. Its a conservative treatment, safe and very much helpful.

In my opinion u need to start with physiotherapy along with supplement medications... avoid having steroidal injection or any kind of steroidal tablets...as these will deteorate your condition if u take it for long period of time...there are certain kind of medications which help in supporting and maintaining ur condition..kindly consult an Orthopedic for that...start physiotherapy immediately like wax bath / hot pack / US / TENS

Hey reumatoid arthritis and rheumatic fever are very diffrent issues.. Plzzzz dont ever give medrol tablet . Its an steroid drug which is very harmful. Diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis is based most on clinical symptoms. Rheumatoid factor can be positive in many cases other than RA.

Plz tell me in detail what exactly are her symptoms. Like mrng stiffness and joint pain, swelling, fatigue.

Hello..Well I don't think by the symptoms you mention I can suspect of rheumatic fever..It's quite possible that she is suffering from osteoarthritis..Please meet am orthopaedician and get examined once... Thank you
