Jaundice for baby
I have delivered my baby on oct 8th with 3.6 kg. She has slight jaundice ( by blood test) but not admitted as she has good weight as per doctor suggestion. After next appt doc said she is good without test but still I see yellowing around her mouth while crying . Do we need to repeat test for jaundice again.

Slight neonatal jaundice is normal. I don't know what you mean by slight jandice. Normally it goes away by 1month.  The baby is active. So no worry. Just to be safe do s  biirubin ,home collection of blood stay safe at home.

I suggest it’s delayed due to some effects of breast feeding and late clearing of bilirubin by liver function derangement. Neonatal jaundice is last disappearing from face and eyes. Normal time is 21 days to 4-6 weeks. If baby is feeding well and gaining weight as per normal velocity then no needs to investigate the further. Pls consult your pediatric consulting doctor.
