Sections studied shows a malignant lesion invading sub-epithelial tissue. the neoplastic cells are seen in clusters.cells have dense &eosinophilic cytoplasm. the cells are large and show raised N/c ratio.Nuclear atypia is seen .the nuclei are large ,hyperchromatic ,irregular ,with dense dark chromatin. nucleoli are prominent.loss of polarity & keratin pearl formation is seen. mitotic figures including atypical ones are seen frequently. perineural/intravascular invasion was NOT evident on the present sections. deeper tissue shows mucus secreting glands . tumor cells extend upto deep margin of Bx. Above features are suggestive of invasive grade-2 squamous cell carcinoma .
