Issue on taking sedatives
One of my relatives have been advised to use sedatives by a doctor . So I just want to confirm if it's okay to use them . He has been taking it for 2 days which makes it 6 doses.

Hello.
Sedatives are medicines which are used to help in sleep. They can be used for other purpose as well like anxiety. Usually sedatives are prescribed if other measures like sleep hygiene fail.
Some sedatives can be habit forming.
If the doctor has prescribed after a thorough evaluation, they can be taken. However they should nit be taken for long.
