  4. Isomil formula. Weight gain in infants!

My son 3 months old was suffering from diarrhea he was taking Similac advance.  and doctor changed his formula to isomil. How his frequency of loose stools are less.but he is gaining v low weight. His weight is 4.5 now his birth weight is 3.5 My question is does isomil cause less weight gain in infants
