Doctor had prescribed me 10mg per day at intervals of morning afternoon night for 9 days...is it safe for using that steroid...are there any side effects for such duration..

Its difficult to answer this question without a reference to your ailment. Steroids such as wysolone is used with that dosage for that duration and longer but it depends on the underlying ailment to have a clear picture to advise upon.
