Is tvs mandatory?
Is tvs scan mandatory within 6 weeks. I'm nervous listening to all my near and dear ones advice against it.

TVS is mandatory if any bleeding or pain within first 6 weeks, as it is more accurate than TA scan. It is completely safe.

Hello .... Transvaginal ultrasound is more occurate and your still 6 weeks, this is done to confirm pregnancy , if you don't want it now get abdominal ultrasound done at 11 to 12 week because that is very much important to know fetal growth and development. But as such there is no risk in TVS, many undergo this test. This test helps to rule out blighted ovum or ectopic pregnancy.
