Is there any way to handle this ?
I got spinal tuberculosis at 13 years age. I got myself checked at a govt hospital, but unfortunately i lost all the papers . During that period, I completed my medication, but never got further treatment. My family were too busy with themselves, they think of me like an unwanted. I somehow completed my school with soul crushing neck pain. Now my neck is tilted to one direction and its structure is also changed. I am now too conscious of my body. I avoid meeting new people. My family and people around me knew my condition, but they generally avoid it by saying "you are fine, you need to build muscle, do exercise, etc". I cant enjoy the things i used to do. Now i want to atleast treat the disease with what I can do. I know I cant go back to normal. Will the doctor understand that i dont have any proof of document. My self worth is kinda low and i m shy. Is there any way i can progress ? love to hear solutions. Thanks for listening, cant thank you much ! :)

Hi Dear You are a very brave person that you have been fighting through these problems alone. It requires a lot of courage.  From hearing you it definitely seems like you need to consult a doctor first... Explain them you're condition, they will do their bit and in the mean while it is also suggested that you look at counseling to help you overcome the loneliness and give you more strength and motivation to go through you're treatment effectively. You can also get in touch with me if you feel comfortable. Take care Regards

Hi Consult a doctor, a doctor will understand your condition. Having spinal tuberculosis can make a person feel anxious and lonely. You can consult a psychologist and talk about how you feel. With a psychologist you can talk about emotional symptoms that you mentioned such as feeling shy and having low self-worth. Counseling sessions will help you. Don’t worry too much about consulting a doctor.

Hi... Your mental health problems and your past tuberculosis treatment are not directly related. Your physical health issues may also have contributed to your mental health issues, but you struggle is more cognitive in nature. With regular counselling/psychotherapy you can very well develop the necessary skills and strength to overcome your presenting concerns. Low self-esteem, poor body image, lack of social interaction, parenting issues, etc., all come under the gambit of psychotherapy. You can also consult a doctor (physician) for your physical health concerns without any fear of judgement.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. CBT along with Lifestyle Guidance and Motivational Counselling is required.
