Is there any shampoo to prevent head lice

Asked for Female, 43 Years

My mother was telling me about a shampoo which helps to prevent head lice. I am now staying in India since few years and she lives in States. I am 43 years old lady now and I have forgotten what was that shampoo? Can you help me with names of shampoo that can prevent head lice?

Yes head louse is parasitic infestation which is very common. Malathion or permethrin 1% shampoos are available.use weekly once for 2-4weeks
