Hi,
My father is under the process of chemo tablets . He had a rectal ulcer, which was removed by surgery. Now for the precautionary basis, his doctor has provided him chemo tablets of 6 cycles...currently, his 5th cycle is going on.
Now, pls suggest, as i am 6th month pregnant and I am going to meet him. So, does his chemo cycle affect me or the fetus if i come near to him.

Chemo should not be given without evidence of malignancy, because chemotherapy itself is dangerous and rarely can cause cancer too.
No problem with meeting ur father, but be careful. Don’t take the medicines accidentally

No effect , and no possibility of any effect on your foetus too . Just go and meet you father .
But for you understand, this chemo is not given as precaution , it’s 100% part of treatment if it was a stage 2 and above disease and wouldn’t have been needed if it was a lower stage disease . So ask him to continue the treatment . For any disease above stage 2 radiation in also recommend.
