Is PRP treatment for hairfall a hoax?
As I'm having a hairfall problem, I thought of undergoing PRP treatment. But lot of questions confuses me:
1.The blood already contains plasma which is being circulated all over, then why is there a need to Isolate it and inject it to same blood on the head.?
2.If we inject it to the blood vessels in the head, wouldn't that blood circulate to other parts? Then how can it be useful?

You are suffering from androgenic alopecia which is also called as pattern baldness. The hairs start reducing in density at the crown (top) and also the hairline starts receeding from the front. This is usually progressive throughout life unless treated. It is usually accompanied by severe dandruff which we call seborrhoea. The FDA approved treatment for this condition is the best. PRP yeilds very good results in hairloss.PRP stands for platelet rich plasma.So its not just the plasma that we inject. Your blood is collected and centrifuged which helps in seperating platelet from other blood components.This platelet is rich in growth factors . Now this platelets are injected in sub dermis that is the skin of scalp and not your blood vessel.Regular sitting of PRP along with oral and topical medications can give significant results.
