Is laparoscopy required before IUI
I visited a new Gyno last week and she says I need to undergo laparoscopy on 5th day of my period and then one month later IUI will be performed on me. I have been trying to get pregnant for past 3 yrs and am 33 yrs old. Is laparoscopy really needed? Otherwise am a healthy person with no other issues.

Have u tried iui previously??? Laparoscopy is generally recommended if there is history of iui failures, very painful menses or pain while inter course. If you have no other complains and husband semen report is with in normal limits you can directly go ahead with iui without laparoscopy provided your fallopian tubes are patent that you can get to know by doing HSG. This week I am doing iui in a patient 34 years trying for baby for last 4 years... No other problem
