Is it safe to use Mefkind syrup
Hi
Is it safe to give Mefkind syrup multiple doses(with 6-8hrs gap between each dose) to reduce fever for a 9 month female baby of weight 7kg.
When we give mefkind 2.5ml, fever decreases and again increases after 6hrs.
Pls suggest.

Yes..its safe to give it every 6to8 hourly but give it after feed...

Yes. You can 8 hrly after feed for 1-2 days only. Not more than that.
Next Steps
Consult your doctor if fever is constantly more than 101 deg F .
