Is it safe to shave pubic hair

Hi Doctor, Iam a male 35 years old. I like to clean and neat. Once in every two weeks I used to shave my hair in private part. Is it advisable to do so. I use razor to shave it. Is there any other alternate method to shave. Does it lead to any other skid problem in future. Please advise
