Gall bladder polyp measuring 1 cm and more needs removal and also your mother falls in high risk category as she is suffering from diabetes so in diabetic people grade of infection can be severe. Its better to get the gall bladder removed by Laparoscopic approach which is gold standard and safe procedure with 1 day hospital stay.
