We had sexual intercourse with in 8th day from start of periods.can she get pregnant.she is on her 34th day from start of periods.Is it safe to abort at this stage using pills.

Whether your pregnancy is suitable for the medical option of termination depends on the gestation determined by ultrasound. This is because ultrasound confirms the pregnancy is inside the uterus and also confirms that the size matches the duration from the last period. As long as the pregnancy is under 56 days or 8 weeks you may have a medical termination. Your gynaecologist can help with your decision. Please do not purchase tablets over the counter. If you bleed heavily or have any problems you need to be able to get to hospital to your preferred doctor quickly.
