Is BCAA safe to use.
Hi Doctor, I have started working out at the gym from last 2 months. I have been taking Whey Protien once a day. I am now advised by my Gym Trainer to also start using BCAA supplement as I am willing to increase my muscles size as I have a lean body. How safe it is to use BCAA?? When should it be taken if at all taken. Also very soon we are planning to start our family. Is it save to use whey and BCAA while trying to have a Baby. Please provide your opinion.

Hello. BCAA is nothing but branched chained amino acids which act as the protein source for our body ultimately helping in increasing the muscle mass of our body. How safe is BCAA? Pretty safer until taken at the proper dose. Very little studies are done on this so there is no exclusive evidence of its harmful effects. But it's pretty safe compared to other muscle building medicines. Since u are guy( according to profile) there is absolutely no effect as such which can prove otherwise . But definitely not recommended for pregnant ladies. My opinion : since u are using whey protein daily I don't think it's essential for u to add on BCAA to it. All this proteins ll make ur body look good for a while but has min effect on ur health. If u are into actual body building means u can go for it oresle I feel it's not necessary. Problem usually arises after long time when u stop working out . Instead of this u can alter ur dietary habits like eating eggs, grilled meats, fruits etc which can have really good effect on ur health too. U can contact me for any further queries. Gym guys usually tend to market these for there profit but my opinion is no.
