Irregular Periods
My wife had periods on 17th of this month and it ended on 21st, again today her periods started. Can you please suggest what is the problem.? Previously she had cyst in her ovaries which was removed. But this is something strange that happened today. Please suggest.

Removing the cyst surgically will not address the problem  which caused cysts to form in the first place. It's the same hormone  imbalance  turning it's ugly head again which was not healed but just masked through  surgery. Hi Irregular periods can be due to many reasons like thyroid issues, high prolactin, polycystic ovaries etc. All these factors need to investigated and then after coming to a diagnosis she should be treated. Thanks Dr Deepti Gupta
