Irregular menstruation

Hi, My wife is facing problem in inregular menstruation.There are 45 days gap this time and she is facing the same issue from last 5-6 year.We are married 2.5 months back. What should I do ? Is this a serious issue ?

Get done ultrasonography to know the exact condition of ovaries .May be she is having pcod.Also get done TSH and serum prolactin level. Start treatment for regulating the menstruation cycle under the supervision of gynaecologist.
