Irregular Bowl Movements

Hello there! I'm having irregular/improper bowl movements since a year now. It used to be absolutely fine before. But, one wild day, I was diagnosed with Anal Fissures, heavens to the pain!! I was given laxatives ointments and God knows what! Ever since then, my bowl movements are improper or I should rather say, lack pattern. I have this continues urge to visit the not-so-lovely bathroom but as soon as I sit on the seat 🚽 to answer the nature's call, poof!! Nothing happens! I always get this strange feeling that my rectum is full (mostly at nights) but nothing happens! Also, if I ever have a bowl movement, I feel a sharp pain in my central and lower abdominal area. I've already consulted so many doctors but no positive effects whatsoever till now. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello.....anal fissures will take some time to heal. You would have been prescribed some stool softeners at that time. That will alter your your bowel movement for sometime. Continue with stiz bath and local anaesthetics if you have pain while passing stools. There are also many other causes for irregular bowel movements like irritable bowel syndrome, any chronic drug intake. So please consult a gastroenterologist for further evaluation.
