Irregular bleeding post D&C

Asked for Male, 32 Years

I got D&C done 6 weeks ago post unsuccessful abortion through pills for a 4 weeks pregnancy. I am having irregular, on and off spotting or sometimes bleeding till yet. Had protected intercourse thrice in the complete duration.Is it okay or should i get a scan done. Could it be pregnancy again ? When should i expect my normal periods

Hormonal imbalance is expected in such cases,but at the same time we need to ensure that there is nothing inside the uterine cavity. Pregnancy also needs to be ruled out. This can be found out by Transvaginal USG. Also few blood tests are required. Normal period resumes 4-6 weeks post Dn C.

Next Steps

1.Transvaginal scan. Depending on scan report management will be planned. 2. Hemoglobin, Thyroid profile, Serum Beta HCG
