Iron Supplements
My son was born 2.4 kgs in 36 weeks via normal delivery. Would he require an iron supplement? My paediatrician dint suggest any and said it isn't required and can start from 6 months. But what I have read is that the baby takes iron from mother mostly in the last trimester, would my baby have sufficient storage for the first 6 months?

Iron is not recommended routinely. If the child is detected to have anemia, then it is given. It can cause stomach upset so it's not given routinely
