Cataract surgery is a daycare procedure Blood investigation-1.Complete hemogram, 2. If he/she/others is diabetic get FBS, PPBS 3. Serology- HIV, HBSAG, VDRL The above are the basic investigations. Other investigations depends on the hospital or institutions A-scan for intra ocular lens implantation (IOL). If it is dense cataract B-Scan .

Bp,sugar,ecg,Hbsag,Hiv,are done commonly.fitness for cataract surgery  certificate to be given by physician. Pl consult ophthalmologist for further evaluation and treatment

Depends on the hospital and patient. Bp, Rbs, cbc, hiv, HbsAg are generally advised.
