Interaction with Clonazepam
My mother has been prescribed Clonazepam twice daily for her anxiety. She is currently on Rosivas CV 10 (Rosuvastatin + Clopidogrel) for heart issues. And Eritel LN for high BP. Worried if these drugs will interact? Can she safely take?

Hello I appreciate your concern for your mother. These drugs don't interact with other drugs much but long-term benzodiazepine use isn't the ideal thing particularly at your mothers age. There needs to be some primary psychiatric treatment of her anxiety in addition to clonazepam so that when other drug acts clonazepam can be gradually stopped.
Next Steps
consult the psychiatrist for better management

Hi there, Generally these drugs when prescribed are generally safe.Although some time abdominal pain has been reported in the literature. In fact one or the anxiolytics are prescribed by the physician in such cases. Clonazepam can cause drowsiness and sedation. So take care when the patient has to move to the places like toilets. Do talk with your physician if any adverse effects occur during the treatment.
