Can intacs surgery be provided for Stage 4 Keratoconus? Or is there any other advanced treatment apart corneal transplantation?

Intacs is an effort to avoid keratoplasty. But it depends on the thickness of cornea. 1st  thing is to establish ,whether it is possible or not then to decide to do epi on or epi off The results of epi off are variable ie around 55to 65%.but can be performed in almost all cases But epi on especially depends upon corneal thicknesses and if possible the results are approx 90%or more.

Hello Intacs depend on many factors like corneal topography, location of cone etc These days we need not to transplant whole cornea but just the anterior layer of cornea
