Insecurity and self-depreciation
I've this psychological problem for a long time. I'm in a relationship with a girl whom I love the most. I care for her a lot which she likes very much. But often I feel like I'm under qualified. I mean to say, we are Indians and arranged marriages are more common, so it just feels like the guy whom her parents bring for her to marry will be far superior than me. It just hurts me, I start feeling like I'm not gonna get her for my whole life. I tend to think about this a lot which is not good.

Hi, I can understand your concerns and I would suggest you to speak to your partner about these concerns as well. It will be helpful for you hear her opinion as well. You are very young and can still shape your career and ambition in a way to meet her family's expectations provided you want to do that. A relationship will work out if both the partners accept each other for who they are and align their choices in a way to be with each other. This balance is dependent on both the partners. Not only on one.
Next Steps
Speak to your partner and have an open discussion about your concerns.
Health Tips
Sometimes relationships don't work out but that doesn't mean you are not good enough for that person. It only suggests that both the partners were not a right match for each other given the circumstances.
