Injection Prolia 60mg
The orthro surgeon on seeing my mother's spinal and leg x-rays suggested for the above injection 6 monthly considering her bone condition and recent spinal hairline fracture. Do we consider taking it. It costs about Rs 22000/- per shot. Please advise

Prolia is a biologic. Primarily used in autoimmune conditions like Rheumatoid arthritis etc. Not sure if it is indicated for fracture healing per se. There are other injections to treat osteoporosis like parathormone, alendronates, zolendronic acid etc.
Next Steps
Fractures need rest and correction of osteoporosis.
