Not all infections are sexually transmitted. Your specimen is High vaginal swab. Vagina is always a store house of infection because the discharges stay there for a long time. The male infection is tested from urine culture and urethral swab. Quantum of infection is always less than vaginal swab. If both of you take treatment as per culture report and observe abstinence for 2 weeks , both will be cured.
