Swelling and infection in neck region for adenoid , frequent high fever And running nose... doctor suggested for surgery to remove adenoid, but we are not in favour as he is less than 3 years

He should be on broad spectrum antibiotics with mucolytics and Mometasone Intranasal corticosteroid sprays. A short course (1.5mg/kg body weight per day in divided doses of Prednisolone syrup( corticosteroid) may also be needed for 3 days and dose tapered down over next 4 days to reduce bulk of the adenoid obstruction.

Adenoidectomy is not an emergency surgery, it can be delayed until the child is 5years. Mean while he or she should be treated medically with antibiotics and nasal steroid spray.
