Infant wheezing
Hi doctor my son aged 1 month 15 days wt 3.3kgs. He is suffering from a chest congestion. When he breathes I heard wheezing sound.l already used naubilizer with duolin respules along with NS in two days But now am tensed about is there any side effects with duolin respules.

You can start with inhaled corticosteroids like Budesonide respules for nebulisation twice daily on a regular basis along with Levosalbutamol respules for nebulisation on a s.o.s basis. Try to identify the trigger and avoid it. Duolin is usually not recommended in Asthma patients (except in severe, resistant wheezers)

Current medications are safe for asthmatics. The key is to identify the triggers and avoid them along with proper usage of medications as prescribed by a Pulmonologist
