Brown rice is more nutritional but white rice is easily digestible. Give the baby what you normally cook at home, so there wouldn’t be any transition problem. For porridge preparation, add extra water and cook the rice for longer time. Do not add salt.
Hello! Best to start with white rice porridge first as it is easily digestible
There are many types or porridge ,can be prepared at home
1. Ragi porridge
2. Rice and dal combination porridge , which is called Uggu.
U can prepare it with rice and any 3 types of dal (eg urad dal, moong dal, toor dal, or chana dal )
Portions can be eg rice 100gm , dals 25gm-50gm of your choice of each dal.
First soak Rice and dal for atleast 6-8 hours in water followed by sun dry them completely few hours on clean cloth.
The more time you soak the dals, it would be easily digestible.
Later once they are dry , roast the dals on low flame and all together can be grinded and powder can be stored in a container
