Ideally no medication is safe during pregnancy Do not take any medication on your own, without advice of a doctor You are planning pregnancy, you must visit in person with your psychiatrist and discuss this issue with the doctor, regarding the treatment option for anxiety that is safe and can be taken on SOS basis Also, with your gynaecologist, you should discuss the medication that you are taking on the SOS basis Remaining you must opt for some changes in your lifestyle as Reduce tea or coffee intake, it will improve your HR, Palpitation, aid in calming effect Do yoga at least once a day, it also reduces anxiety

Hii.. No medication is recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy when the baby brain development takes place mostly.. Meditation and breathing exercises can help you overcome anxiety during that time.. If anxiety is very severe then you can take help of a psychiatrist and gynecologist for complete assessment and treatment accordingly..

Propranolol (Inderal LA) is sometimes prescribed during pregnancy when clearly needed, but it is not the first-line option for anxiety. It can cross the placenta, and regular/high doses may affect the baby’s heart rate, blood sugar or growth. For SOS/occasional use, the risk is lower, but it is still important that your treating psychiatrist/obstetrician is aware before you continue. In pregnancy, non-medicine strategies are usually preferred, and if regular medication is needed, safer alternatives (like certain SSRIs) are considered.
Next Steps
• Use only if absolutely necessary and prescribed. • Inform your obstetrician about all medicines. • Explore therapy/relaxation methods alongside.
Health Tips
Do not self-medicate or change dose on your own. Always balance anxiety control with pregnancy safety under medical guidance.
