Hi,
At 18, your growth plates are likely closed, making it difficult to increase height significantly. However, you can maximize your current height by maintaining good posture, staying active with exercises like swimming and stretching, eating a balanced diet, getting enough sleep, and avoiding unhealthy habits.
Height is a biological factor and also a personal factor, since the changes are more from a genetic point of view, if your parents have a decent height then most probably you'll get an advantage of that. But the 2nd point personal factor also comes into play, through which I mean you can do physical exercises including yoga which would balance out the hormonal level in the body
Next Steps
do regular exercise and yoga, and have an adequate amount of sleep.
Hi! Thank you for reaching out. I hear you, while height is primarily determined by genetics, there are some factors you can consider to support healthy growth during your teenage years. Eating a balanced diet rich in calcium, protein, and other essential nutrients can help. Regular exercise, particularly activities that involve stretching and strengthening your muscles, like swimming, yoga or basketball ball, may also promote good posture and contribute to overall bone health. However, it's important to remember that significant height increase beyond what genetics dictate is unlikely after the age of 18.
Next Steps
Try to indulge yourself in physical activities and consult a physician.
