Incision on lips
Hello ... I met with an accident and got 5dissolvable stitches on my upper lip and 2 on lower lip , it has been almost 20 days but the stitches are not dissolved. Doctor said they will get dissolve maximum in 15-20 days. In the lower lip , I got two stitches from inside and I can see that the thread is popping out and they are covered with skin . Is that normal, should I wait for them to fully dissolve or do I have to get them cut by a surgeon. Thanks !

No need dissolvable switches don't need removal. Having said that sutures on the external lip need to be removed in 4to5 days to prevent scarring. Can you send a picture else see a plastic surgeon
