Impressions, X-ray after extractions
I have severe crowding in my teeth. 4 first pre molars were pulled. My dentist did not take my dental impressions and x ray before extractions. He said it could be done after extractions. Is this normal? Shouldn't he have done this all before extracting my teeth?

As a matter of fact some preliminary investigation such as dental models , Xray's and some analysis will be done before starting the treatment. Nevertheless let us hope for the best.

Ideally any investigations or the treatment planning should be done before executing the treatment. As you have crowding and premolars are extracted, I suppose you are undergoing orthodontic treatment which should be done by an Orthodontist.
