If wisdom tooth is impacted it can in any direction, sometimes it's near or touching mandibular nerve.its extraction becomes totally different from simple extraction it need expertise. Better get it done by oral surgeon as the procedure is going to be surgical.

As per your saying... it seems like your wisdom teeth is not errupted and mostly doesn't have any probability to errupt... wisdom tooth are like of not much a use in our daily eatting pattern... its like a rudementary tail... earlier generation had big jaw size to fit in wisdom tooth... and more over now due to our soft processed food pattern its no more required... those who have it with out complain errupted.. no issues. But as you are having decay and it deep seated.. its ideal for you go for surgical extraction by a maxillofacial Surgeon...
Hi so when the tooth is deep inside and bone and positioned in such a way that(horizontally impacted may be)it cant be extracted by forceps only.incision has to be given and bone has to be removed to remove the tooth.
