i m taking imatinib 400 for cml ,from last couple of months i am suffering from tight stool which can be result of diarrhea.
i want to know whether this is possible in cml patients and if then how to treat because tight stool created fissure for me

I am not getting your question. Diarrhoea may be side effect of imatinib. But you are telling constipation because of diarrhoea.that is very unlikely. Can you clarify your question again. Either imatinib will produce diarrhoea(common side effect of imatinib) or constipation (rarest side effect). Both side effects will be symptamatically managed. Constipation can be managed with prophylactic laxatives. Diarrhoea also can be managed by medicines( if it is very much significant- more than 3 episodes of loose stools)
