If you have symptomatic gall stones you need surgery to remove your gall bladder with stones in it. Gall stones can lead to serious problems like obstructive jaundice or acute pancreatitis. Please consult a surgeon.
The gall bladder is a useful but non critical organ in humans By the time it is diseased and needs surgery.... it is already non functional.
There are no long term physiological implications to gall bladder removal.
As I tell all my patients from the point of discharge after surgery... there are no restrictions in diet or activity as far as the surgery is concerned.
