Iching in ear and dryness

Asked for Male, 4 Years

My son suffering from wax iching problem since many days..i used dewax..and took him to ent..one said use dewax..other said not to use dewax since it will damage ear..gave some nasal drop which was a not for kids as metioned on the medicine..plz suggest is it advisable to use dewax and removing wax..as my child is just four years..

Itching in the ear may not be always because of wax. It may be secondary to fungal infection, allergic rhinitis (which can also cause sense if itching in the ear), chronic otitis externa etc. Direct examination is necessary to confirm the diagnosis. In any case dewax is safe for children
