I want to rule out my chest pain
Is a 2D Echo test sufficient to show if my heart is working properly, given it ruled out heart issues for my chest pain?

Echo test gives information about the structure of your heart, it's pumping capacity and valves etc... gives idea if a patient has had heart attack in the past(even a silent one)...gives an idea about certain genetic heart muscle related diseases However alone normal Echo doesn't rule out heart disease. You need ECG. And for prediction of blockages in arteries ...a stress test like TMT or stress Echo....provided baseline ECG echo is normal and you have no acute ongoing symptoms.
