Hi there, smoking cigarettes can be injurious to health not only yours but also people around you through passive smoking. Any addictive substance is difficult to quit. Motivation is very important. Keep a set date. Quit from that date and no looking back after that. You might experience withdrawal symptoms which you can discuss with a psychiatrist. Nicotine replacement therapy is an option. There are medications available to control the craving and reduce the pleasurable effects of smoking. See a psychiatrist for further treatment. All the best.
