Hello there, I am a 27 yo Male, with 183 cm and 79 kg. I was on LCHF Diet for a long period. Stopped 6 months ago. Now higher carb Paleo. Recently I got blood test with high TPOab, normal TSH, low Ferritin, high Estradiol, low WBC. I have extreme lethargy, fatigue etc after eating Histamine like Kefir. Do I have Leaky Gut, SIBO? How to treat?

Hello. Very Good evening. I'm Dr.Yogesh Kr Sharma. SIBO meaning bacterial overgrowth in small intestine and the condition is of two Type: first which is spontaneous in occurance & secondary assosiated with the another disease of the intestine. Unfortunately there is no Permanent cure, but still there are some treatment modalities available to control the signs and symptoms like indigestion,  bloating,  flatulence, diarrhoea & much more. So there would be a course of antibiotics and pre & probiotics to treat the disease for 1-2 weeks of treatment and then you go off the treatment for same period. After then we will repeat your treatment once again for 1-2 weeks. Don't be dishearted. Along with this we will be in touch of a dietician. Who can advice FODMAP diet which will bring more potency to our treatment. Lethargy & Wellness are due to indigestion, Muitivitamin and multimineral deficiency like vitamin.D, vitamin B12,  folic Acid,  vitamin k and list is very long. For diagnosis of SIBO there is hydrogen breathing test and intestinal fluid culture and intestinal biopsies.  If you have SIBO,  you can also consult me at practo chat for your treatment. Regards. Bye.
