Hi, Pimples treatment depends upon type of acne you are having it, as it has 4 grades.. You can apply benzoyl peroxide 2.5% and adapelene combination cream as you mentioned that it is red but sometimes this combination can cause irritation to skin so, non comedogenic moisturizer is advisable to put before it.
Ideally you should visit your dermatologist so he/she can guide you cream as per your skin type and can also prescribe oral medicines.
