I gone through 2 surgery of hernia
What are the post operation precautions for hernia.
I have gone through open surgery for the right sude and laparoscopy for left side for the treatment of hernia with gap of only 18 days.

General rest,avoid exertion on passing stool,exertion on cough,avoid heavy weight lifting for 3 months,avoid strenuous activity like running,fast walking for minimum 6 weeks,avoid food creating constipation
