Ovaries are left for production of hormones. You only saw few articles, each day no. of articles get published. But what gynaecologists practice are the guidelines set all over the world. Another thing, with age ovaries also stop functioning. Those who have uterus and those who don't have doesn't make a difference once ovaries stop functioning. You should have asked what to do once ovaries stop functioning. There is nothing called ovaries sparing hysterectomy after effects. You need to follow the same things every one follows after experiencing effects of menopause. Change in lifestyle. Good diet. Exercise. Diet rich in calcium and phytoestrogens.

When ovaries stop functioning usually it leads to osteoporosis.  To prevent that take adequate calcium in diet and through tablets .
