My baby is two weeks old and doctor has prescribed gardenal 30 mg. Daily twice for it but as far as I am concerned it is phenobarbitone tablet which is used for the treatment of insomnia and it has various adverse effects also what should I do prescribe me something for my baby??

Your paediatrician must have prescribed phenobarb due to seizures. Do NOT stop it without doctor's order. If in doubt,get a second opinion.
