Hypothyroidism
I'm taking 75Mcg tablet for past 3 months. As my doctor said hypothyroid is non curable disease, I would like to switch to other treatments like reflexology and sujok and try it for beneficial improvements in my thyroid functions. My reflexology + sujok practitioner told me to stop these medications. I'm worried about any side effects due to sudden change. I want to confirm is it advisable to stop the current medication suddenly?

I feel people should understand difference between hormonal replacements with that of drugs. Both are not the same. You are just getting some replacement of thyroxine that your body cannot make due to destruction. Please don’t play with your health by not taking proper treatment in diseases like type1 diabetes or overt hypothyroidism like in your case.

How reflexology will work at cellular level, thyroxine is required for proper functioning of tissues. Once u stop it will take long time for ur body physiology to normal due to lack of thyroid harmone, u can try any type of therapy it ll acts as placebo only.

You can try what you want. Ultimately you'll come to a medical practitioner if anything goes wrong because AYUSH is not scientific and is useless. I'd suggest to continue the tablet if previously hypothyroid.
