For a TSH of 6.4 mIU/L, confirm the diagnosis with additional tests (free T4, anti-TPO antibodies, lipid profile) and reassess TSH in 6–8 weeks. Treatment depends on symptoms and risk factors. If symptomatic or high-risk (pregnancy, elevated antibodies, heart disease), treatment is more likely needed. Otherwise, monitor TSH and symptoms periodically. Focus on lifestyle modifications: a balanced diet with adequate iodine and selenium, avoiding excess soy and raw goitrogens, regular exercise, and stress management. Recheck TSH every 6–12 months during monitoring. Address any associated conditions like high cholesterol and seek medical advice for persistent symptoms or significant changes.

Your TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) level of 6.4 µIU/mL is slightly elevated, suggesting subclinical hypothyroidism.
Next Steps
Are you experiencing fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, cold intolerance, or other symptoms of hypothyroidism? Do you have a history of heart disease, infertility, or are you planning to conceive? Consult to evaluate your full thyroid profile (including Free T4, Free T3, and thyroid antibodies).
Health Tips
1. Monitor TSH levels every 6-8 weeks 2. Diet- Include iodine-rich foods (e.g., seafood, iodized salt) if your iodine intake is low. Selenium and zinc (found in nuts and seeds) can support thyroid health.

TSH alone is not a standard of measure it is just suggestive of the Thyroid status. TPO, Anti TRH, USG or biopsy of the Thyroid is the exact diagnosis tool
