Hypothyroidism
I am suffering from hypothyroidism since the past 5 years and have been taking Thyronorm 25mcg. Recently I have taken the T3,T4 and TSH tests twice in 3 months and while the the T3 and T4 levels are within range my TSH levels have been well above normal range in both the tests. Is this a cause of concern to consult a specialist. Thanks in advance.

Hi there I understand your concern and anxiety....increased thyroid stimulating hormone levels suggestive of hypothyroidism I.e under active thyroid...since you are already on treatment with thyroxin tablets from long time you may have to alter your dosage based on few other lab investigations and examination... Consult your treating doctors he or she is the best person to answer your question.
