I have been hypothyroid for almost 6 years now. I would like to get a check up done. Could you please prescribe all the blood tests that I should get done so that I can visit an endocrinologist directly with the reports? I am coming to Hyderabad for a very short duration.

You can do the basic thyroid profile which includes T3,T4, TSH and consult the endocrinologist. If after consulting you, the doctor feels the need to get any other investigations done, you can follow his/her expert advice.

Hi there...diagnosis is done by estimating tsh and t3 and t4 levels...Lower-than-normal T4 levels usually mean you have hypothyroidism. However, some people may have increased TSH levels while having normal T4 levels. This is called subclinical (mild) hypothyroidism. It is believed to be an early stage of hypothyroidism...Regards.
